Have a voice on how to build the economy of Huron Shores: A Community Workshop on guiding the East Algoma Economic Development Strategic Plan (EAEDSP) was held on Monday, October 24th, 2011 at the Day and Bright Community Centre. The Central Algoma Rural Healthcare Steering Committee, the North East Local Health Integration Network and LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services have made an interim arrangement for patients requiring medical laboratory services while a more permanent solution is found. This Interim Service will begin on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012.

Due to the heavy rainfall, sections of Municipal Roads in Huron Shores are very slippery. Public Works crews are doing everything they can but, it is recommended that if you do not have to travel today that you please stay home.
Also due to the icy conditions, for your safety, ALL Huron Shores Municipal Landfill Sites will be CLOSED today, Monday, January 23rd, 2012.
