BUILDING PERMITS
Building Permit Applications may be obtained at the Municipal Office, or by clicking on this link. Permit Applications should be returned to the Municipal Office. The Municipal Building Inspector is Mr. Ron LeBlanc, of Tulloch Engineering Inc. in Thessalon, Ontario. Building Permit Fees: the applicant will be informed of the fee when the building permit is issued. Permit fees are established by By-law #99-36. Please click here to view By-law #99-36 Schedules A & B for a list of the fees.
Demolition Permits typically cost $20.00. Payment may be received at the Municipal Office in Canadian Funds, cash or cheque payable to the Municipality of Huron Shores.
Septic System Installation and Inspection
Algoma Public Health (APH) issues the permits for installation of septic systems. The fees for these services has recently increased. Please visit the Algoma Public Health web page for the complete list of fees, regulations and procedures, as well as other general information regarding septic systems, sewage disposal, and well-water quality.
