      NEW! Open Air Burning Permits may now be obtained at Fire Station 1 in Little Rapids on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon only. This is for the convenience of Huron Shores residents living in the western portion of the Municipality. Permits are $5.00 and are valid for 2 weeks. Permits may only be renewed either in person at the Municipal Office in Iron Bridge or via telephone 705-843-2033. Renewal is FREE. Permits continue to be issued at the Municipal Office during regular office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Fire Department wishes to remind you that NO DAYTIME BURNING IS PERMITTED. Note: No permits will be issued or renewed if a Fire Ban is in effect.

      At the Regular Meeting of Council held April 11, 2012, Council passed Res. #12-12-27 to proclaim that May 29th shall be the "Day of the Honey Bee" in Huron Shores in perpetuity. This was in response to a request from Mr.Clinton Ekdahl, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Founder of the Day of the Honey Bee.
