Invitation to Join BRDHC Board of Trustees & Corporate Memberships

Blind River District Health CentreINVITATION TO JOIN THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Do you have a strong vision for rural health care and the direction it should be heading?

The Blind River District Health Centre is inviting candidates to apply to be members of the Board of Trustees. The following skill areas have been identified as the focus for 2014-2015:

• Clinical Experience – Hands on experience in the delivery of health care. As a member of a professional college or an individual with evidence of clinical practice.
• Knowledge and experience in Research & Statistics – Dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of information or data.
• Risk Management – Identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor and control the probability and/or impact of adverse events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.
• Accounting / Financial Expertise — As a financial professional or an individual with business acumen.
• Legal Expertise – As a legal professional or a professional who has the required education or experience within the legal field.

All vacancies will be filled by vote at the upcoming Annual General Meeting to take place in June 2014.

Blind River District Health CentreCORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE

Corporate memberships for the 2014/15 year will be available for purchase as of April 1st 2014 at any of the following Blind River District Health Centre locations:

• Blind River Site — Admitting Desk
• Thessalon Site — Front Entrance
• Matthews Memorial Site — Front Entrance

The Membership fee is $1.00. A person is eligible to be an annual member when at the time of payment the person must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
  • Have been a resident of the greater area which is served by the Health Centre from and including Spanish to the east and including the Township of Macdonald, Meredith & Aberdeen to the west for a continuous period of at least three months immediately prior thereto; or
  • Be employed or carry on business in the area described.

Deadline to purchase your Corporate Memberships for 2014/15 is 12:00 pm Friday May 16, 2014.
