Effective Tuesday, August 12th, 2014, the Huron Shores Fire Department has LIFTED the Fire Ban originally imposed August 7th. Open Air Burning may only be conducted with a valid permit. Permits are available at the Municipal Office in Iron Bridge from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at the Huron Shores Fire Department Office in Little Rapids on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon; the Fee is $5.00. Thursday, August 7: Fire Ban in Effect for Huron Shores
The Municipality of Huron Shores Fire Department has imposed a Fire Ban effective Thursday, August 7th, 2014, until further notice. Open air burning of brush, grass, debris and use of incinerators is not permitted. Small, contained campfires for cooking and/or warmth are permitted.
