April 23, 2015 Update: Public Works has advised that Chevis Road, between the numbers 875 and 957 is now open to one lane. The traveling public are advised to drive cautiously and take note of spring road conditions. The public are encouraged to contact the Municipal Office at 705-843-2033 to report any safety concerns with respect the municipal roads.

April 21, 2015 Original Notice:
Public Works has advised that Chevis Road in Iron Bridge between the numbers 875 and 957 is CLOSED to all traffic due to a large frost boil that has emerged in the middle of the roadbed. Public Works is currently working to repair the road and it should be passable by the end of the day.
Public Works personnel are actively patrolling municipal roads to identify any potential hazards or deterioration of the roads due to the recent heavy rainfall. Members of the traveling public are encouraged to contact the Municipal Office at 705-843-2033 to report any safety concerns with respect to the municipal roads.
