Residents of the Municipality of Huron Shores: With the onset of the winter season, residents of the Municipality of Huron Shores are reminded of the dangers of parking on Municipal roads and streets during this season. Also, the pushing and leaving of snow from private property onto and/or across these roads and streets creates a hazard to travellers using the roadways as well as interfering with routine snow removal operations. In the interest of public safety and expeditious snow removal, the Council of the Municipality of Huron Shores stresses that it is imperative to refrain from these practices.
We ask that vehicular and snow machine traffic take extra care in watching for snow removal equipment as crews work to maintain the roads system for safe passage. Please view the video below produced by the County of Wellington and the OPP on Snow Plow Road Safety:
