June 18: Work Resumes on Iron Bridge Storm Drains

June 18, 2018

Public Works advises that residents and ratepayers travelling in the vicinity of the Municipal Office (7 Bridge Street, Iron Bridge) should expect to see increased heavy vehicle activity, construction personnel and signage.  The contractors working on the Iron Bridge Storm Drains Rehabilitation Project have resumed activity in the Village.  Work is pretty well completed on Chiblow Lake Road, but will now begin on Bridge Street, from the intersection with Main Street/Hwy. 546.  In addition to the municipal construction activity, road works are being undertaken by provincial contractors on Highways 546/554 with heavy equipment and construction personnel frequenting the area.  Vehicular and pedestrian traffic are advised to please use extra caution and be aware of this heightened construction activity when in the area.  Work also continues on Highway 17, in and east of Iron Bridge by provincial contractors.
