DESCRIPTION:The following information was received from the Veterans Affairs Canada Learning Team: \n“One of the most famous events of the Second World War took place on June 6\, 1944\, when some 14\,000 Canadian soldiers came ashore at Juno Beach on D-Day as part of Operation Overlord.
