Municipal Grants

The Municipality of Huron Shores offers public grants/funds (that are subject to budget considerations each year) for the following:

Festivals & EventsCommunity Event Investment Fund (CEIF)

The Community Event Investment Fund (CEIF) is an initiative of the Municipality of Huron Shores to be administered through the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) as a fund that is dedicated to help not-for-profit organizations start up a new event that could become an annual one (maximum grant $1,000.00).  Applications must be submitted to the Municipal Office at least four (4) months prior to the event to be considered by the Economic Development Advisory Committee.  Approval is subject to qualifications and funding availability.

The Huron Shores Roads Donation Program provides a grant to a Committee of property owners who utilize private or municipally unmaintained roads to access their properties in order to assist with the cost of improvements to the road(s).  A minimum of 4 property owners must utilize the road(s) as the only access to their properties in order to qualify for funding (up to a maximum of $3,000.00).  Documentation/accounting statements must identify that at least $100.00/km of road has been collected from the Committee in order to qualify for roads donation program consideration.  The Application Deadline is April 30, 2022.
