DESCRIPTION:The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently recruiting 15 auxiliary members for Blind River (5)\, Thessalon (5)\, and Elliot Lake (5) Detachments and will be hosting two information sessions in Elliot Lake on Saturday November 4\, 2023. \nMorning session will begin at:       10:00 a.m.\nAfternoon session will begin at:      1:00 p.m. \nOPP Auxiliary members will be required for various duties such as: \n\nCommunity Policing\nCrime Prevention Initiatives\nCommunity Events\nOPP Special Occasions\nPatrol\nPublic Service\n\nThe basic conditions for Appointment are: \n\nCanadian Citizen or permanent resident\nAge 18\nOntario Grade 12 or equivalent\nClass “G” driver’s licence with good record\nNo criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted\nCertified in First Aid and CPR\n\nThe OPP wants YOU…to be an OPP Auxiliary Officer.
