2023 Fall Newsletter The 2023 Final Property Tax Bills are in the process of being mailed out. Included with your bill are the Fall Newsletter and 2022 Municipal Performance Measurement Program (MPMP) Report. The newsletter contains important notices for, among other items, volunteer opportunities, meetings, fire department news, waste site information, and office information. The 2022 MPMP Report (located on page 2 of the newsletter) details the total 2022 costs for municipal services and compares them to the previous 3 years. Tax payments may be made in 2 installments (Due Dates: September 29th and November 30th, the last business days of the month). The Municipality strives to ensure that all tax notices are mailed out on time and to the most recent address on the assessment roll. To update your mailing address please visit Mailing Address Change Form – Huron Shores or contact the office directly at 705-843-2033 or via email at email@huronshores.ca. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to ensure that payments are made in a timely manner, regardless of receipt of the tax notice. Payment may be remitted as follows: e-Transfer: The Municipality is set up for auto deposit Interac e-Transfers for tax payments as well as other payments. Funds can be sent to eft@huronshores.ca. Please indicate in the message box where payment should be applied. Interac/Debit Card: Interac/Debit card services are available at the Municipal Office. Fees may apply. E-Payments: Online payments are available through eBilling. Setup your account by following the step-by-step video found on our Financial Department page. Canadian Financial Institution: Payment may be remitted by telephone banking, or online banking by searching ‘Huron Shores’. When making a payment online, each roll number must be entered as a new account. Please ensure that the correct amounts are applied to the respective tax bills. Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Tax Payment Program: Ratepayers can voluntarily enter into a program, authorizing your financial institution to make property tax payments on your behalf through automatic withdrawals from your bank account, each billing due date.
