Dog Tag Registration Deadline

A reminder that all dogs within the Municipality of Huron Shores must be registered annually by March 1st. The deadline for 2025 has now passed, and late fees are in effect.

Please note: Dog tags are required for all dogs, including those owned by seasonal residents.

Late Registration Fees (Effective March 2nd):

• $30.00 – Non-neutered/spayed dogs
• $20.00 – Neutered/spayed dogs
• $80.00 – Kennel licences

Dog tags are valid from January 1st to December 31st each year and can be obtained at the Municipal Office.
Proof of current rabies vaccination is required at the time of registration.

Payment Options:

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, debit, or e-transfer.
To pay via e-transfer, please send the applicable amount to eft@huronshores.ca and include in the message box what the payment is for (e.g., “Dog Tag – Your Name”).

Responsible Pet Ownership

Dog owners are reminded to:

• Keep dogs securely on their property or on a leash when off property
• Ensure dogs are under control at all times
• Display the current year’s dog tag on their pet’s collar

Dog tags help identify your pet if they become lost or stray from home.
