“One of the most famous events of the Second World War took place on June 6, 1944, when some 14,000 Canadian soldiers came ashore at Juno Beach on D-Day as part of Operation Overlord. This June will mark the 75^th anniversary of the massive Allied landings in Normandy, France, that signaled the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.
