Funding Support for Huron Shores Fire Department 🚒 The Municipality of Huron Shores is pleased to announce that the Huron Shores Fire Department has received $14,545.72 in funding from the Province of Ontario to support firefighter health and safety. This funding will allow the department to purchase specialized equipment including decontamination showers, decontamination kits and accessories, pop-up change shelters, EFIREX lithium-ion extinguishers, particulate-blocking balaclavas, and AV3000 masks. These tools help reduce firefighters’ exposure to harmful contaminants and improve safety during emergency response operations. The Municipality thanks the Province of Ontario for its continued support of local fire services and recognizes the dedication of the Huron Shores Fire Department members who work to keep our community safe.
