Notice of Passing of By-law #16-03 – Site Specific Zoning Amendment NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF A BY-LAW FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE FORMER CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF THESSALON WHICH IS NOW PART OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF HURON SHORES TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of The Municipality of Huron Shores passed By-law #16-03 on the 27th day of January, 2016 under Section 34 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 as revised to amend Zoning By-law # 7-91 of the Township of Thessalon. AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to The Ontario Municipal Board in respect of the by-law by filing with the Clerk of The Municipality of Huron Shores not later than the 22nd day of February, 2016, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law, the reasons for the objection and the fee required by the Municipal Board. Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Municipal Board. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Municipal Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. The purpose of the by-law is to change the zoning on Lot 21 RCP H‑794 at 40 Little Rapids Road, from Open Space (OS) to Residential Low Density (R1).
