Date Issued: Tuesday, April 29, 2025

The Municipality of Huron Shores advises all residents and visitors that Bolton River Road is now closed effective immediately due to flooding and water flowing over the roadway.

Due to recent rainfall and increased water levels, sections of Bolton River Road have become impassable and present a serious safety hazard to motorists and pedestrians. In the interest of public safety, the road will remain closed until further notice.

⚠️ Important Safety Reminders:

  • Do not drive or walk through flooded roads — even shallow water can be dangerous and cause vehicles to stall or be swept away.
  • Follow all posted signs and barricades.
  • Respect closure notices for your safety and the safety of others.
  • Please use alternative routes during this time.

Municipal staff are actively monitoring water levels and road conditions. Updates regarding the reopening of Bolton River Road will be provided as soon as it is safe to do so.

We thank you for your cooperation and patience during this temporary closure.
