Due to the possibility of a Canada Post service disruption beginning as early as May 22, 2025, residents are encouraged to avoid mailing their property tax payments if possible.

The due date for Interim Property Tax Bills is Friday, May 30, 2025. To ensure your payment is received on time, please consider one of the following alternative payment methods:

Online Banking – Use your financial institution’s bill payment feature to pay your taxes (search for “Huron Shores” as the payee and use your roll number as the account number).

In-Person at Your Bank – Most major banks accept municipal tax payments at the counter.

Drop-Off – Place cheques in the secure drop box located at the Municipal Office (7 Bridge Street, Iron Bridge). Please include your tax stub with the payment.

By E-Transfer – The Municipality is set up for auto deposit Interac e-Transfers for tax payments as well as other payments. Funds can be sent to eft@huronshores.ca

By E-Payments – Online payments are available through eBilling. Setup your account by following the step-by-step instructions below. Pay each tax bill individually. When paying please include your 19-digit roll number without any dashes (e.g. 5724000001135790000). Allow two (2) business days to receive your account confirmation. Note: a fee will be charged by the provider for this service.

Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Tax Payment Program – Ratepayers can voluntarily enter into a program, authorizing your financial institution to make property tax payments on your behalf through automatic withdrawals from your bank account. Call for more details!

Please note: Postmarks and delays caused by Canada Post will not be accepted as proof of on-time payment. Late payments are subject to penalty.

Thank you for your cooperation.
