Public Works advises the travelling public to take extra care and reduce speed when driving on municipal roads, as frost heaves and road boils have begun to appear in various areas. This is a natural occurrence caused by the expansion of freezing water beneath the road surface.

Due to recent snowfall and precipitation, followed by a brief mild period and now cold temperatures, frost heaves are forming across the municipality.

Public Works staff are actively patrolling, identifying areas of concern, and have been placing “Bump” warning signs where necessary.

📞 To report a road concern, please contact the Municipal Office at 705-843-2033 or email 📧 email@huronshores.ca.

Your cooperation is appreciated as we work to keep roads safe for everyone!
