Road Closure Update – Dayton Road Road Closure Update – Dayton RoadDate: October 29, 2025 Effective Immediately: Closure at Swan’s Culvert (Culvert #21)Location: Dayton Road, near Dayton Station RoadReason: Structural concerns identified during follow-up assessments. As part of ongoing monitoring following the culvert failure and washout on Dayton Road, the Municipality of Huron Shores has implemented a second closure at Culvert #21 (Swan’s Culvert) due to identified structural concerns. Through traffic is no longer permitted at this location. Local traffic may continue to access properties on either side of the closure, but vehicles will need to turn around at the closure point. What this means for you Dayton Road remains fully closed at the original washout between Cullis Road and Maple Ridge Road. At Culvert #21, on Dayton Road near Dayton Station Road, traffic may approach from either direction but cannot proceed through. Barriers and signage are in place, please respect all closures and do not bypass barricades. Next Steps Planning is underway to address both affected culverts.
