May 21, 2013 UPDATE: Temporary Road Closures Due to Water Over Roads UPDATE 2:30 p.m., May 21, 2013: Public Works has OPENED Bolton River Road and that portion of Cameron Road that were previously closed to vehicular traffic since the first week of May. Public Works personnel are actively patrolling municipal roads to identify any potential hazards or deterioration of the roads due to the recent heavy rainfall. Members of the traveling public are encouraged to contact the Municipal Office at 705-843-2033 to report any safety concerns with respect to the municipal roads. Previous updates follow: UPDATE 11:40 a.m., May 7, 2013: Mississagi Crescent and Eaket Drive in Iron Bridge are now OPEN to vehicular traffic. The following municipal roads remain CLOSED due to water over the roads: Cameron Road in Dayton from its intersection with Dayton Road to its intersection with Mosher Road. Bolton River Road, located east of Bright Lake, remains closed from south of the bridge. Public Works continues to monitor the situation. Please watch for further updates on this website. In addition, Cameron Road, from approximately 100 metres North of the Mosher Road intersection, has water present on the road. Public Works will continue to monitor the situation. Original message published April 22, 2013 follows: TEMPORARY The public is hereby advised that it has been necessary to close Bolton River Road to through traffic due to rising water from the spring thaw and recent heavy rainfall. We anticipate this closure to be temporary in nature until water levels recede. Public Works will continue to monitor the situation and any changes or updates will be posted on this website.
