Whether you’re a first-time candidate, considering re-election, or simply curious about how municipal government works, these sessions offer a valuable opportunity to learn, ask questions, and build confidence.

Running for Municipal Office – Everything You Need to Know
A practical and informative 90-minute session that walks you through the role of Council, campaign basics, and what to expect as a candidate.

  • February 4, 2026 | 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • April 8, 2026 | 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Healthy Democracy Leadership Series
This engaging four-part evening series focuses on leadership skills, community engagement, managing challenges, and thriving in public service. Separate streams are available for first-time candidates and those thinking about re-election.

Each stream includes four evening sessions (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) focused on:

  • Clarifying your purpose and “why” for serving
  • Handling conflict and difficult relationships
  • Protecting mental health and personal wellbeing in public life
  • Turning your values into action and building community support

Two free streams are available:

  • Stream 1 – Considering Re-Election in 2026
    For municipal elected officials preparing their path forward and looking to renew clarity, confidence, and resilience.
