“Ontario By Bike” Hosting Cycle Tourism Development Workshops – Blind River & Sault Ste. Marie The Municipality received the following release from the Algoma Kinniwabi Travel Association (AKTA): “You are invited to attend the upcoming Ontario By Bike Workshops taking place in Algoma Country, brought to you by Tourism Northern Ontario and Ontario By Bike. The Ontario By Bike Network is a marketing initiative and destination development tool that certifies businesses for free to become bicycle friendly and helps them tap into Ontario’s growing cycle tourism market and reach the increasing number of visitors and local residents who participate in cycling activities in the province. Ontario By Bike will be hosting 2 Cycle Tourism Development Workshops: one in Blind River, and one in Sault Ste. Marie to provide tourism businesses and other interested stakeholders with valuable tourism research and program information on Ontario’s cycle tourism sector. Attached are the agenda and posters for each workshop. Also, Mike Wozny will be speaking from Tourism Northern Ontario and providing an update on the Lake Huron North Channel Cycling Route, in addition to local cycling developments.
