The Big Basswood Lake Association will host its Sweet Sowerby Social and information evening on Wednesday, August 15/18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sowerby Hall, 1410 Basswood Lake Rd.  Topics will include a history of tourism on Eastern Big Basswood Lake:  Melwel Lodge, Canadian Camp Club, Indian Point, Indiana Beach as well as the history of the Cordukes/Weber 12-Sided Barn.  Bring a dessert to share.  Coffee and tea provided.  All welcome.
