Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab – “Spark” Mentorships and Grants Program The “Spark” program is seeking new tourism ideas from Algoma County entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. The goal is to generate new tourism opportunities, experiences and partnerships within the region. The “Spark” program will match candidates with a tourism mentor and provide a source of financial support to help with the development or implementation of your great new tourism idea ! Applications are being accepted until October 19, 2021, 11:59 pm Who Can Apply: individuals start-ups established small businesses non-profit organizations Program includes: Application reviews by a jury including local and provincial tourism leaders and innovators Finalists’ Pitch Session (our friendly take on a tourism Dragon’s Den) – November 19, 2021 – stay tuned for details Selection of 3 winning applicants from the Algoma region Selected applicants will receive: 3-month mentorship with a tourism innovator, experienced operator, industry leader, and/or sector expert $3,000 “Spark” grant to support tourism idea development activities Access to a support network of tourism innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders Ongoing guidance on other resources and support services provided by partners To learn more please visit Algoma Country – What’s your new tourism idea ?
