The East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently recruiting 15 auxiliary members for Blind River (5), Thessalon (5), and Elliot Lake (5) Detachments and will be hosting two information sessions in Elliot Lake on Saturday November 4, 2023.

Morning session will begin at:       10:00 a.m.
Afternoon session will begin at:      1:00 p.m.

OPP Auxiliary members will be required for various duties such as:

• Community Policing
• Crime Prevention Initiatives
• Community Events
• OPP Special Occasions
• Patrol
• Public Service

The basic conditions for Appointment are:

• Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
• Age 18
• Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent
• Class “G” driver’s licence with good record
• No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
• Certified in First Aid and CPR
