Earth Day – April 22, 2026 Earth Day is a great opportunity to take small steps that help protect and care for our environment 🌿 Right here in Huron Shores, there are plenty of simple ways you can make a difference: 🚶♀️ Pick up litter along your road, trail, or shoreline🌱 Tidy up your yard and help keep natural areas clean♻️ Sort and recycle properly at your local waste disposal site💧 Conserve water where you can🚗 Walk, bike, or carpool when possible Every little bit helps keep our community clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone 💚 🌼 Did you know? Our community gardens in Iron Bridge and Little Rapids are a great way to connect with nature, grow your own food, and support a greener community. Earth Day is the perfect time to start thinking about getting involved! 🎨 Earth Day Colouring Activity for Kids! 🎨 Kids can join in the fun this Earth Day by getting creative and showing how they help care for the environment! Colour our Earth Day colouring page and submit it to the Municipal Office (hard copies are also available at the office). Be sure to draw or write one way you can help take care of the Earth. All colouring page submissions will be entered into a community vote, where a prize will be awarded for the best colouring page! We also encourage families to send in photos of how they’re making a difference at home or in their neighbourhood, whether it’s picking up litter, recycling, or spending time caring for outdoor spaces. Keeping our Earth clean is important for protecting our environment, wildlife, and natural spaces. By taking care of our surroundings today, we help ensure a healthier, safer community for future generations 🌿💚 🌐 Looking for more Earth Day activities and resources?
