The Municipality of Huron Shores has been advised by Evolugen that, due to current watershed conditions, water discharge rates at the Red Rock Dam are expected to increase to approximately 550 cubic metres per second over the weekend.

As a result, residents and property owners along the Mississagi River are encouraged to monitor local conditions closely and take reasonable precautions to protect personal safety and property.

At this time, Evolugen continues to actively monitor and manage surrounding water bodies to help mitigate impacts and maintain stability within the system.

At this time:

  • There are no impacts to travel
  • Municipal roads remain open
  • Public Works crews are actively monitoring conditions and will respond as needed

The Municipality will continue to provide updates promptly through official communication channels.
