Heat Warning – July 13, 2026 Environment Canada has continued a Yellow Level Heat Warning for the Blind River–Thessalon and Elliot Lake–Ranger Lake areas. 🌡️ What to Expect Daytime highs of 30°C to 37°C Overnight lows of 20°C to 24°C Humidex values between 38 and 45 Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the heat event. The heat is expected to continue until Wednesday or Thursday evening. ☀️ Stay Safe During the Heat 💧 Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty. 🏠 Stay in air-conditioned or cool spaces whenever possible. 🕶️ Plan outdoor activities for the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler, and wear lightweight, light-coloured clothing and a wide-brimmed hat. 👴 Check in on older adults, those living alone, young children, and others who may be more vulnerable to the heat. 🚗 Never leave children or pets unattended in a parked vehicle. ⚠️ Hot and humid conditions may also lead to poor air quality. If you have a respiratory condition, reduce strenuous outdoor activities and monitor local air quality updates. 🚨 Know the Signs Early signs of heat exhaustion include: Headache Dizziness Nausea Intense fatigue Thirst Dark urine Heat stroke is a medical emergency.
