The Municipality of Huron Shores advises residents that the Municipal Office and all Municipal Waste Disposal Sites will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, Survivors, their families and Indigenous communities. It is a day to reflect, learn and honour, while continuing to build our understanding of the history and lasting impacts of residential schools and the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Residents are encouraged to take time to listen, learn and reflect.
