Fire Prevention Week: Fully Charged? Time to Unplug 🔋 Many of us plug in our phones, tablets and other devices and leave them connected to the charger long after the battery has reached 100%. As part of this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, NFPA encourages users to unplug devices once they are fully charged. Leaving a device plugged in can increase heat and place additional stress on the battery. It’s also important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your device and battery. Chargers and batteries are designed to work within certain limits, and developing good charging habits can help reduce unnecessary risk. Whether it’s your phone, laptop, headphones, power tools or another rechargeable device, make unplugging it when fully charged part of your routine. Charged up?
