NOTICE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 2026–2030 Term of Council Get Involved in Your Community! The Municipality of Huron Shores is inviting residents interested in contributing to their community to submit an Expression of Interest for appointment to one of the Municipality’s advisory committees for the 2026–2030 Term of Council. Advisory committees provide valuable input, recommendations, and support to Council on matters that help shape the future of our Municipality. Expressions of Interest are being accepted for the following committees: Community Development Advisory Committee – Supports community development initiatives, economic growth, and opportunities to enhance the Municipality. Environmental Advisory Committee – Provides input on environmental matters, sustainability, and initiatives that support the protection of our natural environment. Huron Shores Recreation Committee – Supports local recreational programs, activities, facilities, and community events. Iron Bridge Historical Museum Committee – Assists with the preservation, promotion, and celebration of local history and heritage. Huron Shores Cemetery Committee – Provides input on matters relating to municipal cemetery operations, maintenance, and improvements. Sowerby Hall and Heritage Committee – Supports the preservation, operation, and promotion of the historic 12-Sided Barn and Sowerby Hall, including community events and activities. Huron Shores Ward 4 Recreation Committee – Supports the operation, programming, and recreational activities associated with the Ward 4 Gym. Huron Shores Public Library Board – Provides governance and oversight of municipal library services, supporting literacy, learning, and community access to library resources. Interested in Participating? Residents are encouraged to complete and submit an Expression of Interest Form, identifying the committee(s) they wish to serve on, along with a brief description of their interests, relevant experience, or reasons for wanting to participate. Previous committee experience is not required. All interested residents are encouraged to apply. Already serving on a committee? Existing committee members interested in serving another term are encouraged to advise their Committee Secretary and complete an Expression of Interest Form to confirm their interest in reappointment.
