Thank you Cameco! Cameco Volunteers with Mayor Reeves Recently Cameco employees came to Iron Bridge in order to beautify the municipal complex and the new Huron Shores Public Library site. It was all part of Cameco’s Annual Community Appreciation Day. Each year Cameco donates the tools and materials, and the employees, many of whom live in Huron Shores, donate their time to carry out refurbishment and beautification projects in the Municipality and in the Town of Blind River. This year’s activities included planting flowers at the municipal complex and tidying the beds next door at the new site of the Huron Shores Public Library (Pictured, from left to right: Brian Dougherty, Mayor Reeves, Norma Mathieu, Kyle Mathieu and Diane Rouillard). In addition, volunteers built trolley carts for the storage and transport of chairs located at the Iron Bridge Arena. In previous years, Cameco volunteers have: re-stained the gazebo at Tally-Ho Park; constructed and stained park benches for the Iron Bridge Historic Museum; built picnic tables for various parks; and repaired the change rooms at Beharriell Park on Lake Huron, often working in the rain. The Council and residents of Huron Shores would like to thank Cameco and its employees for once again demonstrating their generosity and community spirit.
