UPDATE: June 3 – Huron Shores Lifts Fire Ban Effective Tuesday, June 3rd, the Huron Shores Fire Department has LIFTED the Fire Ban originally imposed May 29th. Open Air Burning may only be conducted with a valid permit. Permits are available at the Municipal Office in Iron Bridge from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at the Huron Shores Fire Department Office in Little Rapids on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon; the Fee is $5.00. May 29th Original Post follows: The Municipality of Huron Shores Fire Department has imposed a Fire Ban effective May 29th, 2014, until further notice. Open air burning of brush, grass, debris and use of incinerators is not permitted. Small, contained campfires for cooking and/or warmth are permitted.
