June 6: Work Bee at Heritage Park Museum The following message was received from the Thessalon Township Heritage Association: Heritage Park Museum WORK BEE A modern take on an old fashioned “Work Bee”. Revived from a time when the community assisted in completing any task that was too big for one person to do alone. Small, medium and large JOBS for everyone! All ages welcome. Saturday June 6, 2015 10 a.m to 3 p.m. at Heritage Park Museum 2 Little Rapids Rd. 3 km north of Thessalon on Hwy 129 (rain date June 13th) Coffee, tea, water, snacks and BBQ lunch provided to all registered volunteers. To name a few jobs: Small jobs: spring cleaning, blacking stoves, painting, “go-fers” assistants, etc.; Medium jobs: limb trees, reset logging display, caulking, chinking, shutters, staining; Large jobs: replace and extend rail fence; reset flag pole; drive shed repairs; reset mill displays… All materials will be supplied. Please bring your own hand tools. We have power! Heritage Park Museum is celebrating 37 years of preserving and displaying area history. Take this opportunity to make a contribution. Students can collect volunteer hours.
