Business Retention and Expansion Training Program – ON Regional Economic Development

Are you planning to engage with businesses in your community or start a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) project this year? You should attend the upcoming BR+E training sessions to learn the best practices for engaging the businesses in your community.  Through the BR+E program, participants will learn how to make their community a great place to do business.

This 3-part interactive virtual training series will take place in late May and June 2024:

  • Session 1 – Wednesday May 29th, 2024 from 10 am to 12 pm
  • Session 2 – Wednesday June 12th, 2024 from 10 am to 12 pm
  • Session 3 – Wednesday June 26th, 2024 from 10 am to 12 pm

A structured BR+E process can help identify actions to support local businesses and foster growth by:

  • Prioritizing business engagement
  • Identifying key challenges and opportunities
  • Providing insight to develop long-term goals and actions

The training will cover the fundamentals of coordinating a BR+E program in your community, using the OMAFRA four stage process.

More detailed information about the OMAFRA BR+E program can be found here.
