Calling the Farming Community: Your input needed re: Elk Population Targets The Lake Huron North Shore Elk Advisory Committee invites the Farming Community to participate in setting elk population targets. What can you expect? Find out how the committee is working with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) to assist with setting population targets and determining ways to deal with human-elk conflicts on farms. Learn about the status of the elk herd from MNRF Biologist, Jim Trottier. Have your opportunity to provide input into population objectives ad options for managing the herd. There will be 2 sessions: Tuesday, October 18/16 at the Iron Bridge Lions Club, 10 Clarissa St. at 8:00 p.m.; and Thursday, October 20/16 at MacLennan Hall, 762 MacLennan Rd., Tarbutt Twp., at 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
