February 16: Family Day & Pioneer Night The Municipal Office and all Waste Sites will be CLOSED on Monday, February 16th, 2015, in observance of Family Day. The Office will re-open on Tuesday, February 17th at 8:30 a.m. The Waste Sites will be open on Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. The evening of February 16th, at 7:30 p.m., the Thessalon Township Heritage Association will be hosting it’s annual Pioneer Night at the Thessalon Township Community Centre, 4 Little Rapids Rd. The evening will feature live music, local entertainers, historical presentation and a luncheon. This a great family event and a chance to learn about our area’s early pioneer history. The Thessalon Township Heritage Association owns and operates the Heritage Park Museum, located next door to the Community Centre. It is open daily in July and August.
