The Huron Shores Fire Department has declared a Fire Ban effective June 3, 2026.

During the Fire Ban, the following activities are prohibited:
❌ Brush burning
❌ Burn barrels and incinerators
❌ Burning leaves, branches, and yard waste
❌ Fireworks and pyrotechnics
❌ Any other open-air burning conducted under a Burning Permit

The following activities remain permitted:
✅ Campfires used for cooking or warmth that are attended at all times and safely contained
✅ Outdoor cooking devices, including barbecues and similar cooking appliances

Residents are reminded to exercise caution with any permitted fire and ensure it is fully extinguished when no longer in use.

The Fire Ban will remain in effect until further notice.
