The Municipality of Huron Shores is participating in the Town of Blind River’s Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, July 25/20.  Residents and ratepayers are encouraged to bring their household hazardous waste, free of charge, to the Blind River Tourist Information Centre between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Please click here to view the flyer for details of acceptable hazardous waste.

Huron Shores residents/ratepayers may also drop off their household hazardous waste, also free of charge, at the Sault Ste. Marie hazardous waste depot located at the City Landfill located at 402 Fifth Line East.  The Hazardous Waste Depot Hours of Operation are: Monday to Saturday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (July 13 to October 24, 2020 – tentative)
Note:  During the closed season, please keep your household hazardous waste items for proper disposal at one of the City’s event days scheduled periodically through the off-season.  Please click here for a list of acceptable and unacceptable items.
