Huron Shores Welcomes the 2012 Canadian National Retriever Championship Huron Shores Welcomes the 2012 Canadian National Retriever Championship Calling all dog lovers! From September 16th-22nd, 2012, Huron Shores is the host community for the 2012 Canadian National Retriever Championship. Huron Shores is proud to have been chosen to host this prestigious event for the second time. The Municipality previously acted as host community for the Championship in 2007. The 2012 Championship will commence on Sunday, September 16th at the Beamish Property, located approximately 12 km North of Iron Bridge on Hwy. 554. Each day, testing sites will be announced at the Iron Bridge Lions Club, 10 Clarissa Street. Maps and directions will be posted there and signs will also direct traffic from the Lions Club to the test sites. Competition will continue through to the 22nd at which time a winner will be declared. Witness these talented canines from all across Canada and the United States compete for the top prize.
