Invitation: Sweet Sowerby Social & BBLA Meeting The Municipality has received the following information from the Big Basswood Lake Association (BBLA): Sweet Sowerby Social and BBLA Meeting 7:00 p.m. – Wednesday, August 24th All community members in Huron Shores are invited to bring themselves and a sweet dessert to share at Sowerby Hall, 1410 Basswood Lake Road, on Wednesday August 24th at 7:00 p.m. A special talk will be given by Dr. Paul Hazlett, a cottage owner on Big Basswood Lake, on findings from the Turkey Lake Project which investigated many factors that affect lake quality and how climate change may affect Northern Ontario Lakes. He will also entertain questions on his presentation so please bring your questions to the meeting. We encourage all of our Big Basswood Lake Association members to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to interact and benefit from this expert’s findings. We also open up this meeting to anyone who is interested in attending from the surrounding lakes and areas. Drinks will be provided by the Big Basswood Lake Association.
