Huron Shores Fire Ban NoticeTuesday, May 12, 2015:  The Huron Shores Fire Department has LIFTED the Fire Ban originally imposed on May 6th.  Open Air Burning may only be conducted with a valid permit.  Permits are HSFD Stn 1 Office - 69 Little Rapids Rdavailable at the Municipal Office in Iron Bridge from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; the Fee is $5.00.  For more information respecting Open Air Burning, Fire Bans, and penalties for infraction of the By-law, contact the Municipal Office (705-843-2033) or visit the Fire Department page at

May 6, 2015, 3:10 p.m.:  Effective immediately, a Fire Ban is in effect until further notice for the Municipality of Huron Shores.  All Open Air Burning Permits (for burning grass, wood debris, etc.) are suspended and no permits will be renewed while the ban remains in place. Small, contained fires are permitted for cooking and/or warmth.   The Fire Department reminds everyone to exercise caution when burning.  Fires should never be left unattended and always ensure that sufficient tools, water, etc. are at hand to control and then thoroughly extinguish the fire afterward.
