The Municipality of Huron Shores cares about the health and safety of our community.  Although the Municipal Office is closed to the public at this time, we are still working and available for you.  You may leave messages at the Municipal Office at 705-843-2033.  You may reach Public Works at 705-542-6053.  All other inquires may be directed to the Clerk/Administrator at 705-542-5528.  We will do our best to answer, or seek out answers, to your questions and concerns.

We are also endeavoring to post updates respecting Covid-19 on the Municipal Website at huronshores.ca but, as information is changing on an hourly basis, it is important to stay informed by monitoring the Algoma Public Health website and other news media on a regular basis.  If you do not have access to these resources, call any of the numbers provided above.

At this time, we ask that if you are in self-isolation or, for any reason, require assistance in receiving groceries or other essential items, and do not have the support of family and friends, please contact the Clerk/Administrator at 705-542-5528.  We will make arrangements to assist in any way we can.  If you know of someone who may not have a support system, please give them a call, as they may be in need of hearing from a friendly voice in this time of uncertainty.

Algoma Public Health notes that “we are all in this together”.  In order to stop the spread of this virus, it is essential that all travellers returning home self-isolate and that everyone build community immunity by practicing physical distancing.

We will get through this with compassion, tolerance, and understanding.

Georges Bilodeau,

Mayor
