Ontario Trillium Fund The Municipality of Huron Shores received funding support from the Ontario Trillium Fund in the amount of $54,700.00 for upgrades and repairs to the Huron Shores Ward 3 Recreation Centre (Arena). The funds were used to upgrade the existing lighting in the arena to LED fixtures which will significantly improve the lighting and energy efficiency of the building. The project also included insulation of three of the exterior walls which will improve preserving the natural ice for longer periods in winter and keep the building cooler for summer activities. Additional electrical outlets were added and repairs to the roof were completed. Special thanks to the Ontario Trillium Fund Program.
