The Municipality of Huron Shores wishes to advise residents and visitors that guiderail installation work will be taking place on Melwel Road beginning August 7, 2026.

The contractor is scheduled to mobilize on Friday afternoon, with installation work commencing immediately thereafter. Work is expected to continue daily between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. until the project is complete, which is anticipated to take no more than one week, weather permitting.

During this time, motorists should expect the presence of construction equipment and workers along Melwel Road. While the road is expected to remain open, short delays may occur as work progresses.

The Municipality thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation while this important safety improvement is completed. Please use caution when travelling through the work area, obey all posted signage, and follow the direction of traffic control personnel.
