UPDATE: August 12 – Huron Shores Lifts Fire BanEffective Tuesday, August 12th, 2014, the Huron Shores Fire Department has LIFTED the Fire Ban originally imposed August 7th. Open Air Burning may only be conducted with a valid permit. Permits are available at the Municipal Office in Iron Bridge from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at the Huron Shores Fire Department Office in Little Rapids on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to Noon; the Fee is $5.00. Open air burning of brush, grass, debris and use of incinerators is not permitted. Small, contained campfires for cooking and/or warmth are permitted.
