2024 Spring Newsletter/Interim Bills The 2024 Interim Tax Bills and Municipal Spring Newsletter are being mailed out this week. Interim taxes are based on 50% of your total property taxes from the previous year. The billing is divided into 2 installments due March 28 and May 31 (the last business days of the month). Payment may be remitted as follows: e-Transfer: The Municipality is set up for auto deposit Interac e-Transfers for tax payments as well as other payments. Funds can be sent to eft@huronshores.ca. Please indicate in the message box where payment should be applied. Interac/Debit Card: Interac/Debit card services are available at the Municipal Office. Fees may apply. E-Payments: Online payments are available through eBilling. Setup your account by following the step-by-step video found on our Financial Department page. Canadian Financial Institution: Payment may be remitted by telephone banking, or online banking by searching ‘Huron Shores’. When making a payment online, each roll number must be entered as a new account. Please ensure that the correct amounts are applied to the respective tax bills. Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Tax Payment Program: Ratepayers can voluntarily enter into a program, authorizing your financial institution to make property tax payments on your behalf through automatic withdrawals from your bank account, each billing due date. Cash or cheques: Canadian funds. * When paying electronically through your financial institution please allow 2 to 3 business days for the payment to reach the Municipality’s bank account The Municipality strives to ensure that all tax notices are mailed out on time and to the most recent address in the Municipal Tax Billing System. Address changes MUST be submitted to the office in writing through our printable Address Change Form or online through our Fillable Address Change Form. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to ensure that payments are made in a timely manner, regardless of receipt of the tax notice.
