Due to the resignations of Mayor Matthew Seabrook (January 8, 2025) and Councillor Roger Mulligan (January 13, 2025), the municipality seeked expressions of interest from community members who are committed to public service, integrity, and accountability.
Municipal council members play a vital role in shaping local governance and decision-making. All elected officials are expected to adhere to the municipality’s Code of Conduct, which promotes transparency, ethical governance, and public trust.

Council Appoints Councillors for Ward 1 and Ward 3 & 4
The Municipality of Huron Shores is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Vine as Councillor for Ward 1 and Danielle Brown as Councillor for Wards 3 & 4.
At the Special Meeting of Council held on March 5, 2025, the following resolution was passed:
“BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council appoints Luke Vine as Councillor for Ward 1 and Danielle Brown as Councillor for Wards 3 & 4 to serve the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council for the Municipality of Huron Shores.”
We congratulate Councillors Vine and Brown on their appointments and look forward to the valuable contributions they will bring to our community. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all candidates who expressed interest in these positions. Your dedication and willingness to serve Huron Shores are truly commendable.
