United Way Now Accepting Applications – District Grants Program The Municipality received the following information from the United Way of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District: “The United Way of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District is now accepting applications for the District Grants Program – district donations are reserved for the District Grants Program. The program is administered by a Volunteer Committee which consists of representatives from North Algoma, East Algoma and the United Way Board. Eligibility: In order to be eligible for a District Grant, an organization must meet the following criteria: be a registered charity with an office in the district that surrounds Sault Ste. Marie (between White River and Spanish, Ontario) be governed by an active Volunteer Board show a need for financial assistance The program or service will address one of the Priority Issues – Essential Services or Workforce Entry and meet one or more expected outcomes. Application forms and budget templates are now available on the United Way of Sault Ste.
